On Saturday, June 29, 2024 the Goss family gathered with friends in a Celebration of Life ceremony held in memory of Jerry Goss, long time Brewer High School Principal and, later, member of the Board of Trustees and also a member of the Brewer City Council including time spent on the Council as the Mayor of the City of Brewer.
Mr. Goss had a lasting and remarkable impact on our school community and all the families and citizens Brewer.
The ceremony, held in the Brewer Community School Performing Arts Center that Mr. Goss helped build during his time on the Trustees, including remembrances from Senator Susan Collins, friend and neighbor Kim Libbey, School Department Athletic Direct David Utterback, former Superintendent of the Brewer School Department Allan Snell, Brewer Police Department's Chris Martin, and Mr. Goss's two sons, Jeff and Jon. Life partner Jean Goss offered her thanks to those present and affirmed what a wonderful partnership it was being married to Jerry for 54 years.
Friends and family gathered afterward to share appreciation and celebration of the life and lifelong contributions of Jerry Goss who will be long remembered in the schools and City of Brewer.
